WHAT PARENTS AND CARERS NEED TO KNOW GUIDANCE - UPDATED
Parental updated guidance on: what parents and carers need to know about early years providers, schools and colleges and parents and carers of children attending out-of-school settings during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

4th February 2021
In recent weeks, our setting opening times and session availability have been under regular reviews due to the current government COVID-19 restrictions/guidelines; including the closure of schools except for critical key workers and vulnerable children.
From 22nd February, our opening times will be extending, from 8.30am-4.30pm for Early Years children who have already been attending the setting since January 2021 and who normally book afterschool club or full day nursery sessions. Normal pre-school sessions will remain 8.30am-2.30pm.
We will endeavor to open the afterschool club fully from 8th March 2021, in line with the possible reopening of schools. Afterschool club will only reopen on this date, if schools reopen. The date will change in accordance to the government announcements linked to schools. If a phased return is the route that the government decides to take, we will also adopt this approach, opening to children who are able to return to school only, including any keyworker or vulnerable children attending across all year groups.
We ask that all parents/carers who wish for their child to attend afterschool club when we reopen, to continue to book as normal, no payments for places will be taken until we reopen and any payments made for last half term will be carried over to the next term that your child accesses.
The opening times will return to their usual full day of 8.15am – 6pm (depending on your booked sessions) from the date of when afterschool club resumes.
The re-opening of breakfast club is still under review.
Thank you for your continued co-operation in this matter, we hope you are all keeping safe and well in these still very uncertain times.
Dear Parents and Carers
Latest advice from The Local Authority is that children should NOT be sent to nursery/school if they
are showing any signs of any illness. This includes any signs of a general cold (sniffles, runny nose etc.).
Please contact us on our usual email or telephone should you need further advice
If you have any queries at all, please contact Katie at the setting on 01904 677870 or Lesley via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Free Coronavirus book – new

The experiences and enjoyment of every child within our setting is of upmost importance. We promote child led learning and adult led interaction, believing good practice is child centred, active and vibrant, challenging their understanding and ability to learn new concepts through hands on provision. Children’s different experiences are always celebrated and parental involvement is encouraged.
